Al Bustan Palace, a Ritz-Carlton Hotel
Muscat, Oman
Al Bustan Palace is a 250-room Ritz-Carlton resort on Muscat’s coast, with the Sea of Oman on one side and the Al Hajar Mountains behind. Its defining experience is overtly palatial: a 38-meter domed lobby with chandelier and fountain, plus grounds shaped for beach time and resort leisure. Credible reporting traces the building to a 1985 state-guest role before its conversion into a hotel. The official site also says a major renovation began on July 1, 2026.
