Choose Regent Phu Quoc for a sunset-facing Long Beach stay where all-suite-and-villa accommodation, multiple pools and a broad dining program keep the resort itself at the center.
On Phú Quốc’s white-sand western coast, Regent Phu Quoc occupies the Bãi Trường (Long Beach) shoreline, with the Gulf of Thailand and sunset views shaping the resort’s appeal. The 342-room property opened as a Regent in April 2022 and is arranged entirely as suites and villas. Its design brings Vietnamese references into contemporary, minimalist interiors; the wider stay centers on beach time, several pools, a spa and a varied dining program. Phú Quốc International Airport is about a 15-minute drive away.

Guests describe a strong stay, with one praising a three-bedroom lagoon villa while noting that the lagoon setting offered limited privacy and a seafront option was unavailable. Another highlights plentiful pools that did not feel crowded, along with complimentary breakfast, bikes and minibar refills, and a well-equipped gym.
Discussion is limited; these accounts offer a glimpse rather than a broad verdict.
“I had a pretty faultless stay this year in 3BR lagoon villa. I wish seafront option would be available but it wasn’t. The lagoon doesn’t give you much privacy.”
“It was absolutely sublime. Plenty of pools so it didn’t feel crowded, free breakfast, free bikes, a very nice gym, free minibar refilled twice a day.”

The villas draw on regional Vietnamese architectural traditions, while the bay, reef and nearby fishing communities shape a stay centered on coastal nature and local culture. Hong Kong, Hong Kong
On Kowloon’s Victoria Harbour waterfront, Regent Hong Kong faces the Hong Kong Island skyline beside K11 Musea and the Avenue of Stars. Opened as The Regent in 1980 and later operated as InterContinental Hong Kong, it returned under the Regent name after a renovation. Its 497 rooms and suites include both harbour-facing and Kowloon-facing categories, so the view depends on what you book. Chi Wing Lo’s restrained interiors frame the water through window-front daybeds, while the restaurants and Pool Terrace make the harbour part of the experience beyond the room.
Bora Bora, French Polynesia
Before closing on June 1, 2026, this 84-villa resort occupied Motu Piti Aau, a private motu on Bora Bora’s eastern lagoon edge, apart from the island’s Le Moana resort. Its defining stay was entirely overwater: villas opened onto the lagoon, with views toward Mount Otemanu and the open Pacific. The former resort is undergoing extensive renovation and is scheduled to reopen as Regent Bora Bora in late 2027; its future facilities and guest experience may differ.
