The Ritz-Carlton, Bangkok

1 / 10

The takeaway

Choose it for a high-rise Bangkok base where park-facing rooms, a Thai-inflected interior and four distinct dining venues soften the city setting.

About the hotel

The Ritz-Carlton, Bangkok rises above Wireless Road within One Bangkok, a large mixed-use district of offices, shops and hotels. The 260-room property looks toward Lumpini Park, and its 50-square-metre-and-up rooms and suites bring a residential scale to a central-city stay. Interiors reinterpret Thai heritage through contemporary design. Four dining venues include French restaurant Duet by David Toutain, while a spa and park-facing pool offer quieter counterpoints to the city.

Choose it if

You want a city hotel with rooms looking toward Lumpini Park and a large green space within easy reach.
You value a varied in-house dining lineup, especially a French restaurant set in a glasshouse.
You are traveling with children and want a family suite, children’s pool and supervised Ritz Kids activities.

Skip it if

You prefer a low-rise, standalone neighborhood hotel to a high-rise stay inside a mixed-use city district.

The Ritz-Carlton Beijing, Financial Street

Beijing, China

CityPool

On Beijing’s Financial Street in Xicheng District, this contemporary city hotel is oriented toward the capital’s financial quarter rather than a resort setting. Its glass-and-chrome exterior gives way to Chinese-inflected interiors shaped by Feng Shui references and warm wood. Dining pairs Cantonese cooking at Qi with Chinese and Western options at Greenfish, while a 1,500-square-meter health club, including a heated indoor lap pool, adds a substantial indoor leisure dimension. Seasons Place mall is next door.
