The Fifth Avenue Hotel
New York, United States
At the corner of Fifth Avenue and West 28th Street in NoMad, The Fifth Avenue Hotel pairs a restored 1907 McKim, Mead & White building with a 24-story glass tower. The earlier building was designed as a Renaissance-style palazzo and later served as a bank; the hotel’s history also reaches back to a Gilded Age estate on the site. Martin Brudnizki’s individually conceived interiors and the hotel’s art collection carry that contrast into the public spaces. Madison Square Park is a short walk away.
